Mitchell Wong joined the firm in June 2000. He primarily represents clients in commercial disputes, including contract, business tort, shareholder or partner dispute, intellectual property, employment and debtor-creditor matters. Mr. Wong has fourteen years experience as a civil and business litigation attorney.
Mr. Wong has extensive experience in all aspects of litigation, including mediation, arbitration and trial. Previously, Mr. Wong was a partner in the San Francisco firm of Woo & Associates, LLP representing major corporate and institutional clients (such as Wells Fargo Bank and Resolution Trust Corporation), manufacturers, and high technology clients in business, real estate, and intellectual property cases. In addition to representing business clients, he also handled important civil rights matters, including representing clients against workplace or housing discrimination.
In his past positions, he has represented many public and private companies and public entities in a wide range of civil litigation matters. He previously worked as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Jose, where he represented various city departments in lawsuits involving tort, excessive force, construction, CEQA, redevelopment, labor and criminal law matters. Before then, he worked in a San Francisco defense firm handling negligence, toxic tort and construction matters for insurers and self-insured entities, and in an Oakland based litigation firm handling business and real estate litigation cases.
He is admitted to practice in the courts in the State of California, the U.S. District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of California, and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
